The ISSA Board has voted to cancel the 2020 spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
MISSA Spring Status April 2, 2020 Spring High School Sailing ( and fall planning)
The following spring 2020 ISSA regattas are cancelled: Mallory, Baker, NIT, Phebe Corckran King, all MISSA Tier 1 and Tier 2 regattas, all MISSA Tier 3 regattas scheduled before May 1st. We have made this decision out of an abundance of caution for health and safety of not only our athletes and their families, coaches, race officials, and volunteers, but also society as a whole. While it is disappointing to all of us, we need to keep the big picture in mind. Coaches and team leaders have an important role in communicating with their student-athletes in giving perspective and context to this decision. We would love to be able to encourage the physical activity and social interaction that high school sailing brings, but it would be irresponsible to do so at this time. Stay tuned, continue to be good teammates, coaches, and support systems for each other. - Ted Anderson, MISSA President
