~~The 2014 SAISA North Gold Championship Regatta was hosted by Lake Norman High School and Pine Lake Preparatory School on March 15 & 16 at Lake Norman Yacht Club in Mooresville, NC.
Eleven teams, three inland and eight coastal, competed. The top seven finishers will advance to compete in the SAISA Double handed Fleet Racing District Championship in Sunbury, GA on March 29 & 30. A full rotation was completed over the two day regatta that saw a wide range of weather and sailing conditions.
Congratulations to overall regatta winner Academic Magnet of Charleston, SC with Peter Hogan & Carly Duffy in “A” Division and John Seibels & Katie Hogan in “B” Division.
Seniors from all teams were recognized at the awards ceremony. Craig Milliken was the PRO. Ken Gorni and Cooper Paiva were judges.
