The SAISA Coastal #3 Regatta was held Oct. 19 at the Beaufort Yacht & Sailing Club. It was co-hosted by Beaufort High School & Beaufort Academy. Both teams worked hard the night before the regatta to unload & assemble 6 recently acquired 420’s from Jacksonville University.  The skippers’ meeting was conducted by PRO George Dewhirst.  The first 2 A Division races were completed in light air & the decision was made to postpone on shore before sending B Division out.  The teams enjoyed ChikFil A lunches on shore before going back out to complete 6 races in each division.  We had 2 combined teams. Islands High sailed in A division & Beaufort Academy JV sailed in B division. Lake Norman JV sailed in A division and Beaufort High JV sailed B division. Congratulations Academic Magnet for finishing 1st in both A & B Divisions & 1st Overall.
