Representing NWISA at the Cressy (ISSA Singlehanded Championship) on November 2-3 in Santa Barbara, CA:

Full Rig: Axel Stordhal - Gig Harbor High School

Radial Rig: Conrad Miller - Benson Polytechnic High School (Portland, OR)

Summary: Axel and Conrad both finish up the weekend with sizable leads over their respective fleets over 16 races in light but steady conditions at Shilshole. 5 full rigs and 12 radials competed at this year's Cressy Qualifer for the Burke Thomas Trophy.

Representing NWISA at the ISSA Keelboat Invitational December 13-15 in St Petersburg, FL:

Gig Harbor High School

Skipper Axel Stordhal and crew Dayne Hall, Carlos Rivas and Dalton Lovett

Summary: GHHS prevailed in this high stacks regatta that was sailing in seven J80s out of Seattle Sailing Club and CYC - Seattle. The top spot was within reach of a few capable teams, but after 6 races GHHS held a one point lead over 2nd Place Olympia and 3 point lead over the tied Lincoln and Ballard.

Summary: Over two days of racing in beautiful Olympia, WA in late September, three schools quailifed to will send all-women teams to San Diego later this month to compete at the Girl's Invitational.
